Thank you for taking a second to learn a little more about me. Again, my name is Dannie and I’m the creator and stylist behind the Just Dannie blog. As a creative at heart and true lover of design, I decided to switch gears after raising my children and pursue opportunities that allow me to utilize my skills and focus on my passions. I enjoy many forms of design, but primarily Interior Decorating, Fashion and Graphic Design.
With Interior Decorating, I find transforming a space into something beautiful and functional incredibly rewarding and I thoroughly enjoy the entire transformation process. I find joy in watching a space transform, take shape and finally be utilized to its full potential. In Fashion, I love creating fashionable looks for women that make them feel beautiful and comfortable in their own skin. With both forms of design, I have the ability to pull inspiration from a single item and create something cohesive and beautiful. I created this platform as a creative outlet for me to explore my love for design and finally embrace the creative side of me I wasn’t able to explore before as a single mother. At this stage in my life, I’m now in a position to pursue interests that truly bring me joy and I’m going all in.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
With a degree in Information Technology and Visual Communication (Web Design) and my background in Real Estate, I possess a wide range of experience and expertise in many areas of business and design. Several years of my professional life were spent in the property management and real estate industries with a long-term goal of eventually staging my own property listings. My Graphic Design skills come into play when I create content to market myself and the services I can provide. In addition, I'm building an Etsy shop currently selling downloadable marketing templates. With all my aspirations, I finally realized all of my professional goals have always been centered around some form of design - I enjoy making things beautiful. As an official “empty nester”, I found myself in a position to make a change professionally and recentered my focus with a goal of working in the Interior Design or Fashion industry exclusively. Join me on my journey of self-discovery as I learn to live for myself for the very first time while doing and sharing what I love with the world.
